Festivals: In a 365 days of the year, there are every day is a festival in Nepal because, live together many different diversity of community in small a country. All have an own culture, custom, languages, festival and so on. Although, meanwhile; following is the main festival of Nepal.  

  1. Navabarsha [New Year]  - Mid of April
  2. Rato Machhendranath Rath Jatra [Begins on the full moon day of Baishakh]  - end of  April
  3. Buddha Jayanti [Buddha's birth day- full moon day of Baishakh]  - end of April.
  4. Mata Tirtha – [Mother's day- last day of the dark fortnight of Baishakh] Begins of May.
  5. Nag Panchami –[Celebration of serpents day- fifth day after the full moon of Shrawan]  - Mid of July.
  6. Janai Purnima or Rishi Tarpani or Gunhi Punhi [Scread thread day – one day preceding the full moon of shrawan] – end of July.
  7. Gai Jatra [Cow festival – one day after the Shrawan full moon] – end of  July.
  8. Gathyamuga or Ghanta Karna [ 14th day of the dark fortnight of Shrabawan] – Midd of  August.
  9. Teej [ Women fasting festival] – Midd of August.
  10. Dashain or Durga Puja [September – October] Hindu's main greatest festival of the year.
  11. Tihar [Deepawali – worship to the Goddess of property, holy animal Cow, Crow, Dog and sister brother festival] – Hindu's main greatest festival of the year September, October and so on.
